August 2019:
We can see Crepe Myrtle and Cotton Rose in Kamakura in August. The brightly colored Crepe Myrtles were planted modestly, so I was able to enjoy the Kamakura-like flower scenery.

At first, I headed to Hongakuji Temple. The big Crepe Myrtle tree was in season. The white Cotton Roses had just begun to bloom.
Next, I headed to Myoryuji Temple. The Crepe Myrtle and red and white Cotton Roses were in bloom in front of the Main Hall. One of the Kamakura seven lucky deities, Jurojin, was enshrined here.
Next, I headed to Hokaiji Temple. As we get an entry ticket when we pay an entrance fee, we can enter the Main Hall. Taking photos was prohibited in the Main Hall. One of the Kamakura lucky deities, Bishamonten, was enshrined here. The Crepe Myrtle was planted in front of the Shotoku-Taishi-do, but it had already bloomed.
Finally, I went to Zuisenji Temple. The Cotton Roses which were planted in front of the Main Hall looked like they would bloom soon. The Rose of Sharons were in bloom in the garden next to the entry reception.
