Kamakura in November / The Special Opening of Autumn Night of Hasedera Temple (Autumn Leaves illumination)

November 2019:

From every late November to early December, there is autumn leaves illumination in Hasedera Temple. It was too early for autumn leaves in late November, but we enjoyed seeing the illumination in the temples and shrines which we usually can’t see.

The roses in the Kamakura Museum of Literature in November are wonderful, so we planned to go there before Hasedera Temple, but it had already closed. Instead, we were able to go to Hasedera Temple early, so we enjoyed seeing Hasedera Temple in the daytime and the night.

It was still bright, so the roof of the Kannon-do Hall looked pale-blue.

It seemed that we only entered “Prospect Path” (the path having a good view) during the daytime. We weren’t able to go there after dark to see the night view.
